Ilyssa is a compassionate and committed therapist with experience working with neurodivergent and neurotypical adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, domestic violence, identity exploration and phase of life changes. In addition, Ilyssa is experienced in working with foster and adoptive parents, as well as youth who have spent time in the foster care system. Using CBT, EMDR and Motivational Interviewing, Ilyssa offers a safe space to explore everything and anything. It is her belief that each individual knows themselves best and her role is to guide and support them on their particular path and celebrate their authentic self.

Ilyssa earned her Master degree in Social Work from Arizona State University and a Masters in Nonprofit Management from the University of Central Florida. Prior to becoming a therapist, Ilyssa worked as a Director of Housing, supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Ilyssa combines her experience and expertise with a relaxed style, believing that while therapy can be hard, it doesn’t have to suck. When not at work, Ilyssa loves to be outside, hiking, camping and backpacking, as well as spending time with her adult children, dogs and cats.
