Sabrina Gill, MD, FASAM (she/her), is a family medicine and addiction medicine physician in Albuquerque, NM. For many years, she has worked at the edge of healthcare, caring for people who have fallen through the gaps in our systems. This includes providing care for unhoused and uninsured people, as well as substance use treatment at MDC. Across these settings, she has seen how often people are turned away, overlooked, or left to navigate care alone. Thus her goal is to be a doctor who shows up for them.
She approachs her work through a harm reduction lens and focuses on meeting patients where they are. Healing and recovery look different for every person, and her master’s degree in bioethics shapes how she thinks about equity, access, and who and what gets left behind.
Outside of work, she is usually spending time with family or thinking about puzzles in any form: digital, analog, analytical, or narrative.
